Twizz is known for a very hard, upstate sound, drawing on the primary styles and techniques of Gregory Hutchinson, Elvin Jones, and Billy Higgins. His bands are recognized for bringing a level of authentic swinging Bebop and hard-driving jazz that is rare in the area.
